It all started with a single flower seed...
As a new mum with a sensory-loving baby, I literally tossed a handful of flower seeds into some forgotten garden beds and watched the magic unfold. That simple experiment turned into something so much bigger. Before long, we were carving out a special space in our yard just for flowers. And just like that, our very own Cut Flower Patch was born.
What began as a small postpartum passion project quickly bloomed into a love affair with growing, creating, and connecting with nature. Our flower patch became our slice of heaven — a place to play, grow, romanticise and dream alongside my daughter.
As a wedding and event florist, flower lover and creative soul, I craved an outlet to enjoy with my little girl.
The truth is growing flowers isn’t as complicated as it might seem. I'm not a professional gardener... just someone who loves to frolic amongst the flowers and romanticise the little things in life.
Through trial, error, and plenty of joy-filled moments, I've learned so much on my flower growing journey. Now, I’ve gathered it all together.
